On October 4th, the Humanities-Management Association ‘MOTINO’ held ‘Noche de España (Spanish Night)’. It was a great opportunity for students to have cultural exchanges between Korea and Spain and learn more about this country. On this day, the Spanish Embassy, ESCCK, and IE Business School participated along with about 100 people, mostly students.
The event started with a brief introduction of ‘Noche de España (Spanish Night)’. Soon, three lectures took place with short networking time in between. First, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor at Embassy of Spain, Antonio Estévez did a lecture about the Spanish economy and economic and trade relations with Korea. After, the Secretary-General of ESCCK, Roger Royo, talked about Spanish culture and tourism. Lastly, the Director for Korea Office of IE Business School Youjin Sung did a presentation about Spanish education.
The event finished with a networking time. During this time, people were able to communicate with each other learning more about Spain, building relationships and experiencing Spanish culture. There was even a raffle, with prizes including beer and perfume. The event offered delicious food as well. People were able to taste Spanish wine and tapas such as chorizo sandwich. Our member Muse International also provided Estrella Damm beer, which was very popular among attendants.
The ‘Spanish Night’ ended at 10pm. It was a valuable time for students to communicate directly with Spanish institutions and learn more about Spain.
